The Three Truths

The three-part principle that builds M&J success

Any company’s success will stem from countless factors. Good clients, solid partnerships, smart growth and frugal spending all play a role. But three principles stand out in M&J’s success since its founding in 1987: Hunger Motivates, Knowledge Leads and Commitment Grows.

Hunger Motivates
When it comes to internal motivation, nothing beats hunger. Whether you’re hungry for a better income, hungry for a new career, or hungry to be the best at something, hunger is the number one impetus for growth. Hunger is what inspired M&J Founder Darryl Myers to start the company and expand it nationwide. Today, we’re proud to say we’re hungry to:

  • Improve: The motivation to improve spurs constant innovation. We refine our product designs for better performance, changing plate designs, track valve performance and more. But more than just products, we constantly refine our delivery systems, parts distribution systems and more. When you’re hungry to improve, nothing less than the best will do.
  • Serve: We provide the most reliable service in the industry, but that’s not enough. We’re constantly refining our service procedures to exceed those standards. In fact, the seven-day turnaround standard was founded by M&J. That’s the kind of motivation that drives maximum running time for your compressor systems — and that means minimum down time for your company.
  • Grow: M&J employees know a growing company means opportunity for a growing career. That’s why, from top down, the people of M&J value our customer relationships. Give us a call and you’ll see why.

Knowledge Leads
We learned the difference between knowledge and know-how.

We started with plenty of know-how. Our clients appreciated our understanding of gas and petrochemical valves and the need for fast turnaround times in the industry. But it wasn’t until we gained true knowledge, not just know-how, that we took the lead in valve services.

Knowledge means we understand every piece of a valve and why it will or will not perform in certain conditions … before it’s ever in service. It means we build the valves from scratch, turning solid steel blanks into the highest performing valves in the business. It means that, when we see a part fail to operate at our expectations (the highest in the industry), we rebuild it, using new metals, materials and designs to make it exceed any other.

It’s not enough to know your product. It’s true knowledge that keeps M&J the leading choice of the world’s largest gas and petrochemical companies.

Commitment Grows
Some call it consistency. Some call it trust. Put them together … that’s commitment. And at M&J, we’re tenacious about it.

From day one, we’ve stood by our word. On time delivery. Valve performance. Traceability. There’s not an aspect of our work that isn’t taken seriously. When you do that for a couple of decades, you’ve got commitment.

While hunger and knowledge start and lead our business, commitment keeps our wheels of success in motion. It keeps clients returning, even after they’ve been wooed away by what they thought was a better deal. That’s because a committed service provider is the only one worth having.
